It could be investors being superstitious, but so far, there are not known drivers only some theories which include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The return from summer vacations<\/li>\n<li>The federal government\u2019s fiscal year which begins on the first of October<\/li>\n<li>The third-quarter corporate earnings.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>On average, more daily moves above 1% are recorded in October.
